Prior Pursglove College's mixed volleyball team travelled to Blackburn for the finals of the British colleges sport national mixed volleyball competition on May 8.
It is the first time a team has been entered by the college and they did extremely well to gain silver medals. They beat St Mary's Blackburn comfortably but lost out to Brockenhurst College in a close round - the scores being 25-21 and 25-17 to Brockenhurst.
The team's PE teacher Kirstie Kohling who travelled with them said: "We are immensely proud of their success. To come second in the whole country at their first attempt in the competition is a real credit to them.
"Next year it will be the gold."
Team: Jaclyn McCabe, Sarah Brown, Zarah Rasool, Luke Johnson, Paul Anderson, Dan Martinez, Eddie Swain.
