Crook Belle Vue Club moved up to third place in the table after they came through their home game against Crook Olde Horse Shoe B with a victory in the deciding doubles.
The Club had singles wins from Jack Walker, John Warriner and Dave Hakin, whilst the Shoe replied with wins from Phil Greenup, Peter Clement and Dave Walker. In the deciding doubles Ian Hodkinson and Dave Hakin took the Club to victory by beating James Ivil and Lee Scott.
Crook Mill House and Crook Olde Horse Shoe A share the top spot in the First Division, whilst Crook Travellers Rest A are two points adrift of Crook Belle Vue. In the Second Division Willington Market and Crook Jelly's Bar A have established a seven points lead over Crook Coach and Horses B.

Tow Law League
Tow Law Dan's Castle B, the ladies team, were never headed when they visited Tow Law North Point and came away with an odd point victory. Angela Armstrong gave the visitors a good start with Colin Armstrong levelling. Emma Jefferson restored the ladies lead only to see Paul Graham equalise. In the decider Sylvia Goodall beat George Pitts.

CIU League Singles Qualifier
There were 66 entries to the competition, which was played down to the last eight at Ferryhill Club. The eight successful players, who will play to a finish on Finals Night in October, were Frank Snaith of Ferryhill, Ian Breen of the Victoria, Harry Sewell and Robert Sharp of Newfield, George Bell and Eric Campbell of Chilton and Kenny Plumpton of Willington.
CIU Singles Championship
The Final will be played at Horden Labour and Trades Club, Davaar House, Sunderland Road, Horden on Tuesday, 21 May at 7.30 pm.
The results of the semi-finals were T. Jones (Old Shildon) lost to C. Simpson (Cockfield) and D. Birchall (Fishburn) beat W. Carter (Darlington East End)
