YOUNGSTERS at Alderman Leach Primary School, Darlington, are taking over the organisation of their library, which has recently undergone a £7,000 refurbishment.
All the pupils will also now have their own library card, allowing them to issue, return and reserve their own books independently.
The library, which was officially opened yesterday by Darlington MP Alan Milburn, is now available to children in both the juniors and infants, following the amalgamation of the schools.
