AN Ordnance Survey map highlighting a County Durham beauty spot has gone on sale.
The Landranger map covering the Barnard Castle and Richmond areas has changed its look and replaced the cover with a picture of Eggleston Abbey, in Teesdale.
The map covers an area stretching from South Stainmoor in the west, to Bolam in the east, and from Stanhope in the north to Richmond in the south.
Modifications to the map mean that colours indicating roads have changed from red to green for primary routes.
Ordnance Survey managing director Steve Erskine also said that important tourist attractions, such as the castles at Barnard Castle and Richmond, have been made more prominent on the map.
He said: "The inclusion of major tourist attractions, smaller holiday parks and villages, walks and trails, nature reserves, visitor centres and sports centres open to visitors to tour, all make the Landranger map the ideal companion for trips and holiday breaks."
The map has a scale of two centimetres to the mile and covers an area of 25 miles by 25 miles. It is available from book shops, outdoor leisure shops and tourist information centres.
