TELEVISION weatherman Bob Johnson put his best foot forward to launch a charity walk.
Mr Johnson, from Tyne Tees Television launched The Children's Foundation's Yellow Brick Road sponsored walk, planned for Sunday, June 23, at Beamish Museum's 1825 railway, Pockerley Waggonway.
This year's walk will take the charity's supporters through unspoilt woodland trails to parts of Beamish not yet open to the public. Families with toddlers will be invited to complete a shorter, one-mile route around the main site.
The walk will end at the fairground, where there will be refreshments, entertainment and traditional rides.
Afterwards, participants will be offered free bus and tram rides to explore the main attractions at Beamish.
Pre-registration is essential, and people are invited to apply for an entry pack and sponsor form by ringing 0191-202 3006 or writing to The Children's Foundation, PO Box 2YB, Queen Victoria Road, Newcastle, NE99 2YB.
