FOLLOWING the success of a British tour last year, young musicians from Northallerton are heading further afield.
The Allertonshire School Concert Band and Choir are preparing for a seven-day tour to the South of France.
The tour begins at the end of this month and the students will give concerts in St Tropez, Nice and Frejus.
A sponsored ten-hour non-stop rehearsal held at the school raised £1,000 towards the tour.
A total of 37 students from the school, all between the ages of 11 and 14, will be accompanied by director of music Jonathan Smith and teachers Julia Staves, Jean Peacock, Liz Lofthouse and Annie Train.
