AN award-winning brewery is to celebrate the Queen's golden jubilee in liquid form.
The Malton Brewery, which operates from behind Suddaby's Crown Hotel in Wheelgate, Malton, North Yorkshire, is to launch two beers to commemorate the event.
In a break from tradition, the two brews will include a European-style beer to appeal to women as well as those who usually favour lager.
Brewery and hotel owner Neil Suddaby said: "We are constantly looking at our range and developing drinks that appeal to an ever-changing market.
"This is an exciting time for micro breweries, following support to our efforts being underpinned with Government support in the spring budget.
"We have some exciting plans for the future which we will be announcing in the coming weeks."
One jubilee brew, Suddaby's Regal Ale, will be a 4.8 per cent strength mid-to-dark brown beer, which will be available at the end of the month.
The other will be a wheat beer brewed using a technique similar, but less complex, to that used to create German and Belgian beers. The alcohol content will be 4.5 per cent.
Brewer Alan Jeffries said: "We were keen to create a package to enable us to meet the needs of an increasingly discerning and expanding customer base.
"The Regal Ale will appeal to the traditional bitter drinker, with the new Euro beer providing a much crisper, fresh, light and clear beer."
