STREAKER Brynn Reed has been sacked from his civil service job after he stripped in front of the Queen.
Reed shocked onlookers after he took his clothes off in front of the Queen and ran past the royal car during her visit to the North-East.
Hundreds of people, including members of the clergy, children and pensioners had gathered to watch the Queen unveil a statue of Cardinal Hume at St Mary's Cathedral, in Newcastle, on May 7.
Police pinned down the 27-year-old, of North Shields, North Tyneside, in an attempt to stop his antics.
However, Reed, who had Rude Britannia written on his buttocks, told how his life had been turned upside down.
A day after he appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates' courts for outraging public decency, he received a letter from managers at the Department for Work and Pensions in Longbenton, informing him that he was being dismissed.
He said: "They sacked me the next day for it and now I'm desperate to find a job.
"I've sent a letter to Tony Blair to say that it was only a joke and that I didn't realise the price was going to be so high."
Reed was charged with outraging public decency and ordered not to go within 200 yards of the Queen as part of his bail conditions.
The case was adjourned for two weeks and Reed will appear before magistrates in Newcastle on Wednesday.
