Hartlepool provides three members of the Durham County (EBA) team to open their programme in the Muras Trophy game against Northumberland at Spennymoor next Saturday.
Former international Dave Kilner (Owton Lodge) is joined by his son-in-law and clubmate David Fenwick, while John Wells, of Park, is also enlisted.

Durham Under-25s and their Northumberland counterparts meet at St Georges Hospital, Morpeth, tomorrow in the National Double Rinks Championship. Durham are the holders of the indoor equivalent of the competition.

* The North Eastern Ladies Bowling League, based in South East Durham, began the new outdoor season one team short of the complement that has been a familiar feature since the League's inception many years ago.
The Brinkburn Ladies Club, which celebrated its diamond jubilee last year, is at present unable to field a full team on matchdays. However the NELBL have granted a one year dispensation from league duties inn the hope that Brinkburn's search for new recruits is successful.
Park Ladies, champions for the past half dozen years, made a winning start to the new campaign with a 4-1 victory over Grayfields.
The "local derby" between Shotton and Wingate resulted in a 4-1 success for the home side.
Blackhall enjoyed home advantage and 4-1 victory over Owton Lodge, while Hartlepool Ladies - also on the lookout for new players - defeated Staby House 4-1.
* Audrey Thornton and Owen McFadden defeated Pat and Jim Temperley 17-10 in the final of the Peterlee Town Open Mixed Pairs event, which attracted 32 entries.
