HUNDREDS of model and wargames enthusiasts took part in one of the biggest exhibitions of its kind in the North-East on Saturday.
Fans of military models recreated miniature battles from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, at a special show in Stockton.
About 24 retailers of large models and wargames, ran stalls, while clubs demonstrated their model battle skills.
The exhibition has been running for 20 years, having been started in 1981 as a one-off celebration of the International Year of the Disabled.
It was started by two physically disabled wargame and model enthusiasts, David Clemmet and Thomas Davidson, who have organised the event every year since.
The proceeds from the event were donated to the Freeman Transplant Association.
Mr Clemmet, who has been involved in charity work for more than 20 years, said: "Since we started, the number of people attending the event has gone from strength to strength and this show was no different."
