AN exhibition of recent work by regional artists will raise funds for breast cancer research.
Organised by artist Margery Shotton, of Wingate, County Durham, the display will include watercolours, oils and acrylics and will be on show at Catlow Farm, South Wingate, from Sunday, May 26, to Sunday, June 9.
As well as Margery, artists taking part in the two-week exhibition will be Tom Furness, Wilf Lancaster and Bob Watson.
It is hoped that the presentation of more than 100 works will attract a large number of visitors with commission on sales going to support North Tees Breast Cancer.
The landscapes, seascapes and animal studies cover subjects from throughout the north, including views of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Durham and many local scenes.
Highlight of the event will be a Charity Preview this Friday. Tickets for the fundraising evening cost £10 and are available from Catlow Farm. The charge includes canapes and wine.
All the artists taking part are well known throughout the region and beyond, and each has previous exhibitions and competition successes to their credit.
The organisers are aiming to top a similar exhibition staged two years ago when £1,500 was raised and are hoping for record attendances at the farmhouse gallery.
The exhibition is open to the public from May 26 to June 9, from 10am to 5pm each day.
Catlow Farm is situated on the B1280 road, two miles from the A19/Hart Village intersection.
Entry throughout the exhibition is free, with well signed access and easy parking.
