A NEW headteacher is set to take the reigns at a village primary school in September.
Mark Allison, who is in charge of Crakehall Primary School, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, will take control at Hurworth Primary, near Darlington.
The 41-year-old has worked in North Yorkshire for five years, following the first 12 years of his career, which were spent in Buckinghamshire.
Mr Allison, who is originally from East Yorkshire, has a degree in environmental studies and is married to Kathleen, who is also a primary school teacher.
The couple have two primary school aged children.
