Darlington Football Club have today confirmed that Jim Montgomery and Gary Bennett are to leave the club.
Bennett, the former first team manager who moved to manage the reserves when Tommy Taylor arrived last year will not have his contract be renewed when it expires this summer.
Also Jim Montgomery, the former Sunderland goalkeeping legend, is leaving the coaching staff when his contract runs out, although the club haven't ruled out the possibility of a return.
The statement on the Darlington FC website stated: "Jim was approaching the end of his contract and it was felt that he had earned his retirement."
"With the new stadium development coming along with a payroll of 200 employees we hope we may find a place for him in the future. We would like to thank Jim for all his efforts, it's very much appreciated."
"Gary is at the end of his contract and we are not renewing it. Gary is an exceptionally good coach, which he showed when leading our reserve team to a trophy. Our thanks also go to him for all his efforts under difficult circumstances."
Anyone wishing to keep their existing seat at the club must apply before the 31st May at the latest. Tickets will then go on general sale from the 1st June.
