TWO people were hurt and a third left suffering from shock after a collision between a car and a motorbike yesterday.
A green Ford Fiesta and a green and silver Sym motor cycle were involved in the accident which happened shortly after midnight at the junction of Watling Road and Proudfoot Drive, in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
The Fiesta driver, an 18-year-old girl from nearby St Helen Auckland, suffered from shock but did not need medical treatment.
A 20-year-old man driving the motorbike was slightly hurt, but his female pillion passenger who is 19 and comes from Spennymoor, broke her pelvis and was first taken to Bishop Auckland General Hospital before being moved to Darlington Memorial. Last night, police said her injuries were serious but not life threatening.
