Some like it hot. Last night, 10,000 people packed into Newcastle's Telewest Arena to catch Kylie fever. Miss Minogue, considered the sexiest singing star on the planet, may be on record as being three days older than former Neighbours TV husband Jason Donovan, but we just can't get the 33-year-old out of our heads.

Tickets for Kylie's show sold out in a record-breaking 50 minutes - almost as fast as her 45-second costume changes, complete with oysters as an energy level aid.

Those who were so lucky, lucky, lucky to have tickets glimpsed an Aussie extravaganza.

In the past the songbird, nicknamed Min, has complained of penny farthing props, but this time there was no expense spared.

Wands waved like manic Jedi knights and flashbulbs popped as Kylie rose through the stage like a silver robot.

The outer armour was quickly levered aside to reveal the skimpily clad sexpot surrounded by Dr Who-style dancers.

She was robotic and male-hypnotic in a silver mini skirt, bra and thigh-high boots. So it was no surprise when some of the audience staggered outside for a breath of fresh air.

She shimmied along a central catwalk and under the spotlight to greet her fans, who whooped and hollered.

She said: "Thank you for your enthusiasm and for not losing your tickets. I love this part of the show where people go bonkers."

Temptress to the last, out came the beds and, from under a white hood, she gave us Fever.
