BUSINESSWOMAN Jeanette Davis has won a software package worth £200 in recognition of her entrepreneurial spirit.
Ms Davis, 23, from Sunderland, won the Everywoman Solutions Plan (ESP), an online business solutions package designed by everywoman.com and funded by One NorthEast.
The package has been launched to help female business owners access a range of business solutions to help them choose the right resources for their operations and keep costs to a minimum.
Jeanette, who is due to launch her ladies fashion business shortly, was one of ten winners chosen to receive the ESP online package after entering the competition last month.
The competition was designed for women starting up a new business, and it was judged on the strength of the business plan and vision to develop the idea.
All winners of the ESP package have access to instant legal advice, exclusive networking, training and workshop events and an email address at everywoman.com, and a listing in its online business directory.
Ms Davis said: "I am delighted to have been chosen for this award and to be recognised as one of the region's up and coming women in business.
"The Everywoman Solutions Plan is an invaluable resource for a new business starter and as it was set up by women who understand my situation, it is tailor-made to meet my needs."
She added: "Women now have a lot more recognition in the business market and the access to the same opportunities as our male counterparts."
