Carnival revival for jubilee
Villagers in Toft Hill and Etherley have decided to revive their summer carnival to mark the Queen's golden jubilee. Etherley Parish Council has backed the event, being planned by Toft Hill Community Association, on Saturday, June 29.
ANNUAL MEETING: The annual meeting of Sedgefield Borough Council will be held tomorrow in the council offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, at 11am.
MIRROR STOLEN: A wing mirror, worth £260, was stolen from a Renault Clio in Seton Walk, Newton Aycliffe, between 5pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday.
WILDLIFE WALK: Durham Wildlife Trust is organising a guided walk in Teesdale on Saturday, at 2.30pm. For details call (01833) 622292.
