PUPILS from a Norton school's year six and seven took to the pitch in aid of charity recently.
Three teams of boys and one team of girls from Red House School took part in a knockout competition inspired by teacher Eileen Gilmore, with the winners receiving a trophy from Sunderland's Niall Quinn.
The winning team consisted of Tom Wilson, Patrick Crewe, Calum Plenderleith, Peter Bulmer, Stephen Adamson, David Pemberton and Mark Sherris.
It raised enough money for two tickets to the striker's testimonial match.
