Federation Special Durham Senior League Under-15s
Jonathan Loach was in magnificent form when Philadelphia restricted Horden to 79 for eight. Loach bowled five overs and returned the outstanding figures of five for nine before scoring an unbeaten 122 as Phili won by ten wickets. Luke Anderson top performed with the bat for Philadelphia scoring an undefeated 48. Kyle Bradbury made 32 of the South Hetton total of 82 for four which was more than sufficient at Gateshead Fell.
The home side responded with 52 for nine as Bradbury claimed three for two runs.
Seaham Harbour went down by 22 runs at Hetton Lyons for whom Mattie Cane top scored with 27 in a total of 113 for three.
Felling managed just 69 for two at home to South Shields who won losing just three wickets as Batson finished undefeated with 22. Ryan Boe picked up a couple wickets for just 18 runs in the Felling attack.
Michael Hall, with a well played innings of 35 and Scott Robinson who also batted well in finishing unbeaten with 31 led Burnmoor to 97 for two at home to Chester-le-Street. The Cestrians won losing six wickets despite Michael Hall also performing well with the ball taking two for 20.
Eppleton totalled just 88 but then bowled out Sunderland for 53 as Mills captured three for 20, Hughes returned two for 11 and Smith three for 16.
When Eppleton batted first they found John Abbot in good form with the ball for Sunderland and he claimed four for six while Michael Grey weighed in with two for nine.
The Readers Durham County League Under-18s
Mark Davison, Chris Dodds and Scott Kimmins shared the ten wickets when Esh Winning defeated Hunwick by ten wickets. Davison had three for three, Dodds returned three for 21 while Kimmins captured four wickets for two runs as Hunwick were all out for just 31. Chris Hurst then carried his bat for 23 as Esh Winning replied with 32 for none. Langley Park just edged Tudhoe by six runs and Sedgefield had 24 runs in hand when they visited Newton Aycliffe. Bishop Auckland reached 78 with Lee ending unbeaten on 44 while for Etherley Carl McGregor returned two for 15 from five overs and David Elstob three for 27 also in a five overs spell. Elstob then top scored with 25 but Etherley were all out for 44 as David Atkinson returned three for nine and Marley three for 14. The two youngsters each bowled five overs. Ushaw Moor faired even worse than the Etherley batsmen and they managed 41 all out when they hosted Crook Town. Cooper had six for six from 4.3 overs and Fawcett took two for seven in three overs. But although they faced a small total Crook Town also struggled for runs and conceded seven wickets before winning. Scott Nattress almost pulled the game out of the fire for Ushaw Moor with four for 23 in five overs and he was ably assisted by Darren Gill whose five overs spell yielded three for 14. Brandon won without losing a wicket when they met Willington who managed 87 for five. Michael Fort, the Brandon first team wicket keeper, discarded his pads and in five overs claimed two wickets for 16 runs. Fort then starred with the bat striking seven boundaries in an unbeaten 42
