MORE than 150 people have already been nominated for an inaugural awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of North-East businesswomen.
The Women In Business Awards will take place on June 14 at the Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield, where the guest speaker will be Paralympic gold medallist Tanni Grey Thompson.
Hilary Dunne, of Enterprise Event Management, which is organising the awards, said: "We're absolutely delighted with the number of entries we've had already but we would like more people to come forward with nominations.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of women from across the North-East."
Nominations are invited for eight categories: Training and Development, Against Adversity, Manager of the Year, Creative/Produce Service Award, Young Entrepreneur, Best Community-based Business, Networker of the Year and Juggler of the Year.
Nomination forms, category listings and ticket reservation forms can be obtained from Enterprise Event Management on (01325) 480891.
