Emergency Services League
The penultimate week of the league season saw Easington continue in their treble title chase, with a comfortable win over Stockton, while current leaders Frankland can only sit and wait to see what happens in the final week.
Easington beat Stockton 7-1, with Neil Robinson bagging a hat trick, Keith Bowmaker scored twice and Vince Marriner and Dave Cuthbert got a goal each. Stockton's consolation goal was scored by Noel Young. Easington have matches on Monday and Thursday next week and must win both to win the title.
They will have one unplayed match but they will be awarded the points for that game.. Frankland didn't have a fixture this week and know a win next week may not be enough to secure the league title.
In their first season in the league, Newcastle West have sealed thirdplace with a 4-2 win over Sunderland Saints (Paul Kingdon (2), Dave Oakes and Chris Dixon got the Newcastle goals, while Paul barret got both Saints Goals.
In a Durham derby, Durham and CLS and Durham Fire Brigade shared the points in a one -all draw. Ellis Hall and Mark Harrison were the respective scorers.
Derwentside repeated last week's win 3-1 over Darlington, when they played the reverse fixture this week.

TWO goals by Paul Whensley helped Old Shildon finally achieve cup glory when they beat Huntsman in the League Cup Final.
Old Shildon - twice cup final losers last season - eventually over-powered Huntsman at Brewery Field after an even first half.
Brace hero Whensley, who grabbed the first, effectively killed off their opponents with a stunning second goal in the second half. A Michael Dowson goal rubber-stamped their victory.
"It meant a great deal to the lads," said Secretary Sharron Hedley. "They were up for it and we didn't want to lose another cup after losing two last season. I thought we deserved the cup and the players were delighted after the game.
"Darren Plaice deserves a special mention. He had only been out of hospital for two weeks but was desperate to play - and I thought he was excellent."
Huntsman manager Stuart Hodgson said: "Obviously we were disappointed not to have won another cup, but it just wasn't our day."
Meanwhile, Spennymoor Thorns were crowned Division Two champions last week after Broompark Loves failed to overcome Shildon Athletic.
Loves only had to beat Athletic to leapfrog Thorns and win the title - but were beaten 2-0.
A delighted Thorns manager, Dave McWaters, said: "It's been a great battle between us and the Loves, with the balance swinging between us all season. But the fact it's gone right down to the final game of the season just showed how very close it was."
The Loves did, however, win their second trophy of the season two weeks ago when they beat Postchaise 3-1 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in the Invitation Cup Final.
Paul Walton scored two goals for Postchaise while Steven Hancock and Ben Roffe both netted for Loves.
Postchaise Secretary Scott Stainsby said: "After going two goals down I thought we did well. We just kept plugging away and we eventually pulled it back."
