SOME of the country's most promising young photographers will showcase their work in a forthcoming exhibition.
Final year students on Northumbria University's contemporary photographic course will display their work in the O2 exhibition, from June 11 to 18, in the university's Squires annex, Newcastle.
The event marks the culmination of three years' work for the 21 photographers and gives people the chance to see distinctive and thought-provoking work.
Many of those involved have secured work within the media and photographic industries.
Among the styles being displayed are traditional fine art, documentary, digital and projected images.
Mike Golding, course leader, said: "Photography is constantly changing. It is no longer a descriptive medium, but one where conceptual thinking is required."
The exhibition will be open during office hours. Admission is free.
