THREE teenagers had tea on the terrace with their MP before visiting 10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister.
Redcar MP Vera Baird was asked to nominate three pupils from schools in her constituency to meet the Prime Minister and she chose 14-year-olds Sarah Lester, Jenna Pengilley and Helen Wall, who are all members of the student council at Gillbrook Technology College in Eston.
They flew from Teesside to London before making their way to the House of Commons where they enjoyed a tour of the newly opened Westminster Hall visitors' centre and watched a debate in the House of Commons.
After tea they walked with her to Downing Street where they spent an hour chatting to Mr and Mrs Blair, and were shown round Number 10.
