ROYAL TRAINS: Two trains will run from 11am to 5.09pm on Sunday to Tuesday, June 2 to 4, on The Tanfield Railway to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
FIFTY YEARS: Consett's Empire Theatre is staging Fifty Glorious Years at 2pm on Friday. Tickets are £6, concessions £5.
CLUB NIGHT: The Tartan Lads will entertain Derwent-side Accordion Club in Castleside WMC, from 7.30pm to 11pm on Thursday.
CLASSIC YARN: The Wee Story Theatre Company is presenting Treasure Island at 7pm on Monday and Tuesday, June 3 and 4 in the Stanley Civic Hall. Tickets are £5.
SCHOOL PLAY: A play area with picnic tables is being created at Annfield Plain Junior School, thanks to a £500 Community Dividend grant from the North Eastern and Cumbrian Co-ops
JUBILEE DAYS: Three days of Jubilee celebrations are to be held by the Medomsley Residents' Association on the Bishop Ian Ramsay Field. They start at 7pm next Saturday with an Evening Praise Service. The Sunday will see a bonny baby contest and a quiz. There will be a picnic and dog show on Monday, June 3 with the choosing of the Medomsley King and Queen, who will ignite the Jubilee Beacon.
