ANDREW Kipling is flagging up his support for England's bid to lift the World Cup.
The 37-year-old has painted the front of his house in Gouldsmith Gardens, Darlington, in the colours of the cross of St George as a sign of his unstinting support for the national side.
Mr Kipling, also a keen Darlington fan, plans to have the three lions emblem emblazened above his front door.
"I wanted to do something different for the World Cup and it's my way of cheering the lads on," he said.
Girlfriend Sharon Allinson joked: "I was devastated, because the inside of the house needs decorating and he did the outside first."
Mr Kipling, a quality controller for a double glazing firm, intends to paint over the giant flag once the World Cup ends, but said: "If we win it, I might have to keep it on for the European Championships.
