Brandon are aiming for a top four place at least this season.
They go into today's home game with Willington unbeaten in their five matches and secretary Ian Johnson said; "Since we came into the league a couple of years ago, our target has always been to do better than the season before.
"Last season, we won nine matches and finished midway in the table, and this year we want to do better than that - we're aiming for a top four place, and if we can do that, then it's success."
Stephen Milburn will be missing today, so he is replaced by Lee Nyland from the second XI.
Willington have also had a good start to the season, and are level on 85 points with Brandon, but have played a game more.
Leaders Kimblesworth have a tricky game at improving Tudhoe, who have won their last five league and cup matches since the arrival of Shahid Anwar.
Stephen Meek is available for Kimblesworth even though he is getting married tomorrow, while Tudhoe should be at full strength.
Evenwood, unbeaten in five matches, are at full strength at home to Shildon Railway, who miss new signing Paul Allenby.
Ushaw Moor are without several players for their home game with Etherley. Craig Usher, Barry Messer and Kevin Nattress are all promoted to the first team; Etherley are without Andrew Raine.
Crook Town are without all rounder Andrew Coe at home to Sedgefield, who welcome back Martin Lower and Mark Jameson, but James Foster is missing.
Mainsforth, at Langley Park, bring in Wayne Firbank; David Irvine drops to the second team.
