YOUNG fashion designers are showing off their collections in Northumbria University's annual fashion show.
The show, which takes place on Thursday, June 6, will give North-East people a sneak preview of the designs before the students take them to London, where they will be shown during the Prince of Wales Trust's Graduate Fashion Week.
Some final-year students taking part have already won accolades for their work.
Gianni Colarossi and Christopher Bailey, both 23, won awards from the Royal Society of Arts.
Gianni's collection was inspired by "the best and worst" of Italian culture and includes Mafia-style suits. He won a placement with the John Lewis Partnership.
Chris, who won a £1,500 travel grant, produced a collection featuring striped shirts, denim jackets and jeans, with hand-stitched seams and leather trims.
The students take their designs to the Prince's Trust's London Fashion Show on June 10, which will be attended by figures from the fashion industry and media.
The Northumbria University show will take place at the Students' Union, with shows at 6pm and 8.30pm. Tickets cost £6 and are available by calling the box office on 0191-227 4757.
