A CLASSROOM assistant has been charged with dealing Class A drugs after police raids.
Donna Dorritt, 21, of Aspen Court in Blackhill, Consett, has been charged with three men who have not been named by police.
The four suspects are each accused of supplying Ecstasy in Trades nightclub, in Consett, and will appear before Peterlee Magistrates today.
Ms Dorritt is a classroom assistant at Leadgate Infants and Nursery School in Leadgate, near Consett.
The four suspects were arrested in police raids at Medomsley Road, Consett, and at Pixley Dell and Percy Terrace, both in nearby Delves Lane, at 6.30am yesterday.
More than 30 CID detectives and uniformed officers took part in the swoop which was part of an on-going police operation codenamed Pershing.
One of the men is 24 and the other two are both 19.
Detective Inspector Simon Orton, of Consett CID, said the action was the culmination of a lengthy intelligence which had been several months in the planning.
