TV stars come in all shapes and sizes - but few can be quite as magnificent as the eyecatcher that sailed into Whitby last night for a two-week visit.
The Grand Turk shot to fame when she was transformed into HMS Indefatigable for the hit television series Hornblower.
Since then she has graced several films, and is about to star in Monsieur N, about the life of Napoleon.
A 22-cannon, three-masted square-rigger, the Grand Turk was launched five years ago - the first wooden British frigate to be built in150 years.
Based on a Royal Navy ship of the 1750s, she will be open to the public every day until June 14, from 10am to 6pm.
