Legend, beer, poetry and classical music may seem an eclectic mix but they are all on the Swaledale Festival programme today.
A guided walk around Semer Water in neighbouring Wensleydale sets off from St Matthew's Church in Stalling Busk, near Bainbridge, at 11am this morning and includes a telling of stories linked to the lake and its history.
Following the seven-mile ramble, the church hosts a performance by flautist Lisa Nelsen, who will be performing work by Bach, Debussy, Ibert and Varese from 5.15pm. Tickets cost £4.
The Crown Inn at Askrigg hosts an evening of poetry with Stephen Watts from 7.30pm while the Green Dragon at Hardraw welcomes versatile folk artist Bill Jones, who combines a clear voice with the accordion, piano, flute and Irish whistle.
Her performance starts at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £6.
