A DIRECTORY of community and voluntary organisations in Sedgefield borough will be published for the first time this summer.
It is intended that the guide, being produced by Community and Voluntary Organisations Sedgefield (Cavos), will be a valuable source of information for the voluntary sector.
It should enable the public and other organisations to find out about the huge range of activities taking place.
The directory will be available free of charge to community groups and available to the public through libraries, community centres and GP surgeries.
Emma Howitt, development officer at Cavos, said: "We would like the directory to be as comprehensive as possible and have tried to contact all the voluntary and community groups we can.
"However, there are always those who slip through the net. If there are any other groups out there who have not had information from us about the directory and would like to be included, we would be pleased to hear from them."
Cavos can be contacted on (01740) 655105.
