Greg Hallider was in magnificent form for Lanchester in their game with Kibblesworth. He crashed 144 not out leading his side to the formidable total of 219 without loss.
He shared the first wicket stand with McPhail, who finished 56 not out. Kibblesworth, in reply, were restricted to 76 for two.
Gavin Cree was Whickham's man of the match against Greenside. When Greenside made first use of the wicket Cree claimed three wickets for 22 runs and Richard Brodie took three for 12 to restrict Greenside to just 70 all out which included an unbeaten 31 from Colledge. Cree then top scored with 24 as Whickham won losing just a couple of wickets.
Marcus Peart (25) was the leading run-maker when Burnopfield raised 105 for five with two of the wickets falling to Miller for 13 runs. Blaydon could only reply with 69 all out which included an unbeaten 34 by Andrew Johnson. Lee Stoneman was in excellent form with the ball for Burnopfield and his four wickets cost just seven runs.
Swalwell just edged Ryton by three runs following a low scoring game. The visitors totalled 74 for the loss of six wickets and 30 of the runs came from Neaven as Philip Bates, with three for ten and Docherty (two for 19), troubled the Swallwell batsmen. Ryton were in with a chance until the last over but eventually ended on 71 for six, four runs short of a winning margin. Bates top scored with 28 and Joseph Docherty added 20 while for Swalwell Long produced the outstanding figures of four for 20.
Federation Special Durham Senior League Under-15s
Paul Davidson was in excellent form with the bat for South Hetton against neighbours Hetton Lyons.
The youngster struck 68 to lead his team to 132 for four and in reply Hetton Lyons could only muster 38 all out.
Sunderland's batsmen were also in scoring mode in their home game with Felling at Ashbrook.
Greg Applegarth carried his bat for 86 and Richard Bissesur contributed 65.
Despite an unbeaten 54 by Paul Leonard, Felling could only manage 92 for three in response.
Gateshead Fell struggled to just 36 all out when they visited South Shields at Wood Terrace.
Chris McShane claimed three wickets for only seven runs and James Gill took three for 14 before South Shields went on to win with nine wickets intact.
George Peacock Memorial Trophy
Durham City coasted into the next round of the George Peacock memorial trophy, defeating Chester-le-Street at Ropery Lane by 51 runs.
When City batted first they posted 108 for the loss of just three wickets as Reed carried his bat for 31, Potts added 26 and Joel Hughes 23.
Best performance with the ball for Chester-le-Street was by Chris Moore who claimed two of the three wickets to fall for 44 runs.
Although John Coxen finished defeated on 30, Chester le Street managed just 57 for three when they went in to bat.
Horden visited Bunker Hill and after realising 118 for the loss of five wickets, restricted Philadelphia to 81 for five. Spanton struck a half century for Horden and in the Phili attack Luke Anderson claimed three wickets for 15 runs in five overs. Anderson then top scored with 33 but the home team managed just 81 for five.
After restricting Sunderland to just 77, Whitburn won without conceding a wicket. Paul Marshall was their match winner with the bat, ending undefeated on 50 out of a total of 78 for none. Anthony Turns, with four for 22, and Paul Marshall (three for 22) were the bowlers who did the damage to the Sunderland innings.
Boddingtons Durham Coast League Under-18s
Dawdon swept to an emphatic ten wickets victory when they visited neighbours Seaham Park. The home team realised just 71 for seven wickets with Andrew Docherty top scoring with 23. Jamie Greenwood took two for 12 and Andy Beer two for 17 before Andrew Stephenson carried his bat for 29 and so too did Andrew Gale.
Griffin ended undefeated on 58 out of the Peterlee total of 108 for four at Castle Eden. Richard Ede claimed two of the four wickets to fall for just nine runs but when their score was on 36 for two, the Castle Eden batsmen and the fielders were forced from the field because of rain and the game was abandoned. At that point, John Spellman was unbeaten on 20 out of the Castle Eden total.
Silksworth were all out for 50 at home to Houghton. The young Chris White returned the outstanding figures of five for ten and Ian Dixon weighed in with two for eight. Responding, Houghton reached their target losing just three wickets as Gary Snowball carried his bat for 35 out of a total of 51 for three. Gavin Little showed up well in the Silksworth attack with an analysis of two for 19.
With the Hilton total on 18 for two, their match at Murton had to be abandoned because of the weather. Batting first, Murton posted 97 for nine with David Scorer scoring 41. Chris Rushworth had figures of three for 29 and Kit Allen two for nine in the Hilton attack.
Karl Bellerby top scored with 27 and Gary Frater contributed 25 to Boldon CA's match winning total of 117 for six against Bill Quay key for whom Antony Trotter took two for 25.
When Bill Quay key made first use of the wicket they finished on 116 which included 50 from trotter and 27 by James Philips.
Boddingtons Durham Coast League Under-15s
Seaham Park enjoyed a comfortable victory when they hosted Peterlee on Saturday morning.
Batting first, the Park finished on 107 for six and most of the runs came from Sutherland with a half century.
Milburn contributed 22 after Peterlee Laidler claimed two hits for 14 runs and Oliver returned an analysis of two for 19.
Responding, Peterlee were all out for 54 as Sutherland followed up his good performance with the bat by capturing two wickets for 17 runs.
Varley gave excellent support and his three wickets cost him just eight runs.
Two Silksworth players made half centuries in their side's formidable total of 161 for three against Dawdon.
Liam Maliburn carried his bat for 58 and Adam Thompson made an identical score before being dismissed.
When Dawdon replied, they too had a half century scorer in Dicken who was unbeaten on 50 when time was called.
Appleby added 39 and at stumps Dawden were 129 for the loss of just one wicket.
Readers Durham County League Under-18s
Daniel Hazell hit three boundaries in 21, Karl Turner had six fours scoring 43 and Hall found the boundary line on four occasions out of 28 as Esh Winning posted a match-winning 120 for five against Ushaw Moor.
When Karl Turner took two for eight from five overs and Hall had three for eight also in a five over spell Ushaw Moor were restricted to 35 for six.
Bishop Auckland had 68 runs in hand of Shildon after scoring 98 and Brandon defeated Willington by five wickets. Stott (33) and Tinkler (26) enabled Willington to make 96 for four with two of the wickets falling to Jamie Robinson for seven runs in three overs. Replying Brandon won with a total of 97 for five of which Gary Brown scored 37 and Andrew Fitzpatrick 21.
Newcomers Washington lost by just three runs to Crook Town. Robinson hit three fours in 30 not out and Hutchinson had two boundaries out of his score of 22 when Crook Town reached 100 for six. Phil Hooper, 12, took two for ten runs in three overs and Nathan McNally had two for 16 from three overs in the Washington attack.
When Washington went in to bat they narrowly failed to reach their target and finished with 97 for five which included 22 by Matthew Thompson, who struck four boundaries. Boughey had two for 18 from five overs in the Crook Town attack.
Readers Durham County League Under-15s
Eddie Watson, Mark Davison, Jonathan Presthead and Chris Dodds all took a couple of wickets as Esh Win ning bowled out visitors Ushaw Moor for just 59. Chris Dodds then contributed 25, with a couple of sixes and two boundaries and Chris Hopper finished unbeaten on 21 as Esh Winning romped to a nine wickets victory.
Langley Park did even better at Crook Town where they dismissed their opponents for 26 and went on to win without conceding a wicket and at Tudhoe, the home side comfortably defeated visitors Brandon.
Tim Smalley, with one six and six fours in an unbeaten 64, led Tudhoe to 126 for three and Brandon could only muster 73 for four. Scott Hopson (18) and Michael Fort (15) were the top performers with the bat for Brandon.
Mark Jamieson, with four boundaries in 30 and Chris Raw (21no) enabled Sedgefield to post 102 for four and in reply Etherley were close to victory but when time was called had made just 99 for three, four runs short of a winning margin. Carl McGregor had four boundaries in 31 and Richard Balmer stroked five fours scoring 42.
Tony McMahon was in outstanding form with the ball for Evenwood and when he took six for ten runs inn five overs Bishop Auckland were all out for 55. Billy Teasdale scored 17 and Coatesworth 18 not out as Evenwood won losing just three wickets.
Premier Sports Durham Coast League
Under-15s
Easington were just 12 all out when they visited Murton as Elliott Hughes claimed three for three, Colin Milne three for six and Tom Blades two for nil. Murton reached their low target without conceding a wicket.
In contrast, Boldon CA posted 155 for four at Seaham Park where Karl Bellerby scored 47 and Erskine an unbeaten 77. Replying Seaham Park ended on 102 for seven of which Anthony Ord top scored with 21.
Miller with three boundaries in an unbeaten 43 and Pearson who had seven fours scoring 37, produced the bulk of the runs in the Ryhope total of 124 for two at Peterlee who were all out for just 36. Clasper claimed three for three runs in four overs and Miller had two for five from two overs in the Ryhope attack.
Kit Allen carried his bat for 50 and Conlon finished unbeaten on 42 as Hylton reached 117 without loss at Silksworth. The home side ended on 107 for four which included 52 by Paul Howe.
Carl White (34) led Houghton to 74 for six with Stephen Gale claiming three for nine in four overs for Dawdon. Gale then produced form with the bat, hitting six boundaries in 48 not out as Dawdon won by ten wickets.
Evans (30) and Tudball (41) enabled Castle Eden to make 115 for four and Bill Quay fell just short on 110 for three.
