Norton Ladies went down by nine wickets when they played Tynemouth and Morpeth Ladies in the Northumberland and Durham Senior Cup.
When they made first use of the wicket, Norton ended on 118 for eight and the best performance with the ball for the opponents was Hicks whose two hits cost her just 14 runs.
In reply, Tynemouth and Morpeth lost just one wicket as Ayton carried her bat for 55 and Coughtrie finished unbeaten with 44.
Tynemouth and Morpeth Ladies play either Wylam or South Northumberland in the next round of the competition.
