KIRBY Malzeard butcher Tim Scothard's prize-winning meat specialities and pies are well known throughout the area.
Now, after having one of his recipes snapped up by television cook, Clarissa Dickson Wright of Two Fat Ladies fame, for her new book, no doubt they will soon be known countrywide.
Mr Scothard, 32, who has won several awards over the years for his quality products, has just won another: a plaque for reaching the national finals of the British Meat Association's Innovative Products of the Year competition.
He submitted his latest speciality, a chicken breast cushion (double breast filleted) stuffed with pork pie meat and hard-boiled quail eggs.
He said: "The judges are looking for an original idea for a recipe. I have several and keep coming up with new ideas. Clarissa must have heard as she telephoned me to ask if she could use a recipe in her next book, featuring different butchers around the country."
