The match of the day is between second-top Murton and third-placed Peterlee and the prize for the winners is the possibility of moving into pole position.
Both teams are unbeaten after five matches and within easy striking distance of Silksworth who have a difficult game against their neighbours and old rivals Ryhope.
Murton make one change, returning to full strength with the inclusion of Phil Grimwood for David Scorer. Peterlee cannot include Neil Hewson or Nicky Beall, who both have experience in the NYSD League. Adam Maddison and Jonathan Buck are pencilled in to take over. Silksworth are without Paul Bradford. Ryhope have yet to taste success but the local derby is always a close result.
Ryhope's chances are considerably enhanced since Jim Taylor, Martin Brace, Kris Taylor and Michael Evans, the former Seaham Park player, all resume.
In keeping with their policy of encouraging and promoting youngsters, Ryhope keep faith with Michael Briggs and Kristian Summerside, who both have potential.
Hylton will be hoping of more of the same from David Batty as they attempt to keep pressure on the leading trio by defeating Bill Quay, who are still unbeaten.
Batty crashed 50 not out from just six overs in the mid-week cup win at Shildon when he batted for the first time since the middle of last season. Batty's return is particularly welcome since Shaun Robinson cannot play.
Bill Quay are strengthened by the return of David Hunt. He takes over from Willie Gardener.
Seaham Park, now sharing bottom spot with neighbours Dawdon, gave a better display last Saturday and they visit Easington with renewed hope. But they will have to get along without John Witton and the injured David Moorhead. Easington are weakened since neither Stephen Hanson nor Robbie Atherton can play.
Stephen Gale, who plays for Durham County Under-15s, is recalled to the Dawdon line-up in place of his brother Anthony at Boldon CA, who will miss influential early-order batsman Lee Jackson. Carl White and Danny Fraser give way to Kenny Marriott and Craig Dowell in the Houghton line-up at Castle Eden.
