Leaders Lintz, who never even discuss the possibility of having a professional, visit second-top Annfield Plain in a match which is of significant importance to both clubs even at this early stage of the season.
David Nevins is unable to play and Lintz will draft in a squad player as they attempt to increase their current five-point lead over their rivals. With Ian Clough unavailable, Annfield Plain promote Mark Ede from the Second XI.
Sacriston missed the chance to go top when they were surprisingly defeated last weekend and at home to second-bottom Consett welcome the return of Paul Burn, who is expected to add stability to the early order. He is a straight replacement for Harry Hubber, who cannot play.
Consett, with just one win in six attempts, are minus Kevin Hopps and John Walker whose places are taken by Wayne Greenwell and Phil Williamson.
Swalwell are handily-placed and at home to Benwell and Walbottle welcome the return from holiday of Nigel Bates who replaces Peter Cromarty. Following their splendid victory last weekend, the visitors hope to keep changes to a minimum.
Ryton, the only side without a win and propping up the table, face a stiff test against Lanchester. They name replacement professional Kiran Powar - brother of last season's pro - who has taken over from Mandar Sarn, another Indian who has had to return home because of injury.
Lanchester line up the ex-Yorkshire Colt David Anderson for his debut and Gary Whitfield resumes behind the wicket. The pair take over from 15-year-olds Greg Halliday and Kevin Dixon, who drop into the second team.
Shotley Bridge promote juniors Mel Dorritt and Ronnie Carr because Neil Burdon and David Love are both ruled out. Visitors Burnopfield are minus Mark Stoneman and Ryan McVittie makes an early return to first-team duty. With Steve Lishman and Neil Clark both sidelined, Tynedale include Paul Scandle and Craig Barber for their game with Ashington.
Leadgate, with a 100 per cent record from the five games , start favourites to maintain their promotion challenge by defeating Percy Main. Leadgate, who were previously in The Readers Durham County League, are unbeaten in all games so far and firm favourites to win the Division A2 championship.
Whickham are second and for their home fixture with Blyth, welcome the availability of Ben Riley and Andy May.
