A TEACHER has celebrated a quarter of a century in the same nursery school.
Rosetta McCleave has been the nursery teacher at Teesville Infant School, near Eston, for a quarter of a century - the only other survivor from the nursery's early days is a rocking horse, which is being restored by Bob Hodgson, from The Toy Factory at Preston Park, Eaglescliffe.
On Thursday, the nursery's 78 pupils took part in a joint celebration for Ms McCleave, the nursery and the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
In the evening, pupils past and present joined Ms McCleave for a reunion.
Headteacher Carole Lamb said: "Rosetta has dedicated 25 years of her career to Teesville and is still teaching with great enthusiasm and commitment."
Ms McCleave said: "I was excited to be given the opportunity to open the nursery class at Teesville 25 years ago and now I feel I've become a real part of the community.
