Arsonists piled on the misery for a handful of residents left living in an otherwise empty street, by torching a vacant, mid terrace home.
People in Mayfair Street, Hartlepool, have complained that the anti social behaviour of yobs is making life a nightmare and they have called on Cleveland Police for help.
Vandals yesterday broke into a boarded up house, built a bonfire out of what furniture they could find - and set it alight.
Cleveland Fire Brigade have attended 15 fires in the street over the last five weeks.
