RAFT racing and an It's A Knockout-style contest added to a weekend of fun for the biggest event in a town's social calender.
On Saturday 11 teams battled it out in a raft race as part of Barnard Castle's annual meet.
Each team had been set the task of building its own craft with the winning Cricketers pub team also donning camouflage as they paddled downstream.
They received a silver paddle and the Mary Brabban Shield from Meet Queen Joan Alderson.
Mrs Alderson was the first Meet Queen in 1955 and to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee she was invited back to perform her royal duties.
The Rugby Club raft team finished second and the winners of the most original craft were Alex Birrell and Matthew Baker.
Yesterday, the rivalry continued with the It's A Knockout contest, with events including a bungee custard run, tractor tyre rolling, dress the Queen and custard pants.
Meet secretary Carmel Woodhouse said crowds had been turning out despite the bad weather yesterday.
The Meet is traditionally held on Whit weekend, but organisers decided to delay the three-day event this year to coincide with the jubilee celebrations.
Today, there will be a procession starting at Glaxo at 1pm, followed by a host of entertainment including a rotating climbing wall, bucking bronco, fairground attractions and a ducking stool in the main field.
