YOUNG footballers had some expert help to set them on their winning ways.
The team from St Joseph's RC Primary School, Coundon, won the Bishop Auckland and District League title and were runners-up in the Rudd Cup to Shildon County Primary School.
Their coaches are Alan Shoulder, a former Newcastle United star who manages Bishop Auckland, and his wife Marie, the school's arts and PE co-ordinator.
Headteacher Stefa McManners said: "We have had a successful season. It helped to have some extra help on our side.
