TRADERS from across Europe set up stall in Shildon over the golden jubilee weekend.
The town's fourth continental market attracted traders from the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Italy and France.
To mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee, many traders in the town centre decorated their shop windows with a royal theme.
Sedgefield Borough Council's mayor, Councillor David Newell, and mayoress Lucy Hovvels, opened the international event.
He was joined by other dignitaries, including the leader of Shildon Town Council, Councillor Philip Thompson.
Coun Newell said: "This is the fourth time that the continental market has been to Shildon, which obviously shows what a success it is."
