A 1950s fancy dress competition, maggot races and an enormous inflatable slide were among the attractions at a jubilee picnic on Saturday.
The event in the park next to Coxhoe Leisure Centre was organised by Coxhoe Village Hall Association, Coxhoe Parish Council and Coxhoe Community Partnership.
Based on the London Proms in the Park idea, it attracted families from a wide area.
Barbara Hepplewhite, secretary of Coxhoe Community Partnership, said: "A large number of people attended and all profits will be used for our new project, for a Coxhoe Skidzone biking, skateboarding and roller skating area.
"Coxhoe Parish Council provided a free commemorative medal for children up to 16 living in Coxhoe parish whose parents had registered their names."
