A Darlington shop worker has flown to America to represent the town at a supermarket conference.
Jane Chapman, events co-ordinator at Asda in Darlington, was chosen to attend the event by a team of national judges.
The conference, in Arkansas, is hosted by American retail chain Wal-Mart, which owns Asda. The 37-year-old will join 17,000 Wal-Mart and Asda employees from across the world.
Ms Chapman said: "I am really looking forward to it as I have never been to America before.
"I really can't believe that I was chosen to attend."
