Ambulance staff from all over the country took part in a five-a-side tournament at Stockton which raised more than £1,300 for Darlington's St Teresa's Hospice.
The North-East Ambulance Service hosted the competition at Soccer Sensations, which was won by a team from Dundee after they beat South Yorkshire in the final.
A social night and presentation evening was held at Cockerton Band Social Club, Darlington, and all the teams sold hospice badges to contribute to the total.
Jane Bradshaw, hospice director, said she was delighted with the effort.
"Although the North-East did not win the tournament this year, I know that everybody had a great time as well as contributing to a very worthwhile cause," she said
