YOUNGSTERS were tuning up for their palace appointment at the weekend.
Members of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, at Durham School, took part in last-minute rehearsals ahead of their performance at Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen's jubilee celebrations, tomorrow.
The six students' involvement in the pageant follows their recent performance in a charity show, when they appeared alongside Sir Cliff Richard at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Patti Boulaye, who founded the Support for Africa charity, invited 1,500 Stagecoach students from throughout the UK to join a choir of 5,000 who will sing while travelling along The Mall.
Stagecoach is also forming a guard of honour through Admiralty Arch as the Queen drives back to Buckingham Palace from a celebration lunch.
Pam Harle, principal at Stagecoach Durham, said: "It is just wonderful that the students will be taking part in the golden jubilee celebrations. They are in for a royal treat as well as a chance of a lifetime.
