A COMPETITION sure to set tails wagging is being held in the region later this month
In association with the National Canine Defence League (NCDL) and The Kennel Club, Pal Scruffts is holding the Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year competition.
Ricky Tomlinson launched the competition at Discover Dogs two years ago. Last year, the event raised more than £8,000 for the NCDL.
He said: "It is great to see so many family dogs recognised by the Pal Scruffts and so much money raised for such a worthy cause."
Every family dog entered will be judged in one of four classes and winners of the local heats will have the chance to compete in the grand final, held in London.
The County Durham heat is being held at the NCDL Darlington Rehoming Centre, at Sadberge, on Sunday, June 16, at 1pm.
