Graeme Leech hit four sixes and six boundaries in 77 and Gary Newsome had six fours scoring 37 when Ormesby Hall posted 200 for eight before declaring after 43 overs in their Division One game at home to The Merlin.
When The Merlin went into bat they were dismissed in the 47th over for 169 which included 43 by Kirby and 83 by Caldwell. Kirby recorded one six and six boundaries and Caldwell had four sixes and ten fours making the game's top score. Stan Davies sent down 14 overs in the Ormesby Hall attack, including five maiden and returned four for 32 while Tony Cook captured four for 21 in 4.2 overs.
Dormans were all out for just 94 at home to Staithes with Dale top scoring with 33. Brown claimed five for 41 before Staithes fared even worse managing just 42 all out as Dale claimed four for 12 and Ramzam four for 18.
The game between Normanby Paragonians and Hinderwell finished in a draw following a high-scoring contest. Hughes (53) and Allinson (30) propelled Paragonians to 171 all out with Steyert capturing four for 35. Responding, Hinderwell were 147 for nine at stumps with Spensley contributing 46 before being run out.
Hughes completed a good game for Paragonians by taking four wickets for 48 runs.
Skelton Castle had six wickets to spare at home to Boosbeck who, batting first, realised 138 for eight including 47 by opening batsman Richardson. D Hallgarth had figures of four for 46 and G Hogarth three for 23 in the Skelton Castle bowling line -up.
Replying, Skelton Castle reached 140 for the loss of four wickets mainly as a result of the efforts of Wigley with 56 and Gratton (46).
Norman Parklands passed 200 before restricting Norton to 94 for seven and the game finished as a draw. Ledbitter (57) and Ramzan (46no), set the pace in the Parklands innings and later Ahmet carried his bat for 31 as a totalled 217 was realised. Armstrong was the most successful bowler for Norton with four for 51.
When they replied Norton struggled against the bowling of Shoaib whose five wickets were taken at a cost of 40 runs.
Loftus defeated Jack Hatfields by 115 runs. Batting first, Loftus realised 176 for five including an unbeaten half century by Whitwell and responding Jack Hatfields could only manage 61 as Morrison claimed six for a meagre 29 runs.
In Division B Normanby Parklands lost by two wickets to Ormesby Hall. Parklands struggled to 33 overs making just 91 all out which included 26 by Mick Mead who hit one six and four boundaries. The batsmen however, were troubled throughout by the bowling of Tony Roberts who with 16.I overs including five maidens returned seven for 29.
When they replied Ormesby Hall also found the going difficult but edged home by two wickets mainly as a result of an undefeated 31 by Quyam. Dennis McGough was in splendid form for Normany Parklands taking four for 40 in 13 overs.
Blacksmiths Arms were all out for just 76 as Broughton returned five form 23 and Smith two for 19 for Brotton who went on to win by seven wickets. Broughton was also in good form with the bat for Brotton finishing undefeated on 31.
Cowpen Bewley sent Skelton Castle crashing to just 20 all out after scoring 175 for four declared. Smith with an unbeaten 72 and Manners (36) provided most of the runs.
After scoring 176 for nine before declaring, Loftus bowled out Dormanstown for 142. Tyreman (48) Bowman (38) and Codling (39) were all in goof form for Loftus and for Dormanstown Mitchell captured four for 46. Both Lloyd and Dowson took two wickets apiece for the visitors.
When they replied, Dormanstown were given a good send off by Lloyd who opened the innings and scored 77. Moon added 21 and Smith 27 before the innings closed on 142 as Morrison and Hogan shared six wickets.
