BUS stops in Darlington town centre are to be changed.
Darlington Borough Council and bus operators have agreed changes to stopping arrangements following suggestions from the public.
Route and timetable information will be provided at each stop and information panels on the roof of shelters replaced with the new service details, when the changes are implemented in the summer.
The moves will ensure that stops are not overcrowded with buses, which causes confusion for passengers and potential hazards for pedestrians.
One stop on the western side of West Row will be removed, with passengers using one outside the Nag's Head in Tubwell Row instead.
Information detailing the proposed changes will be posted on the stops two weeks before they are implemented.
