AN attraction dedicated to the memory of the world's most famous vet is planning a special Father's Day promotion.
Fathers will be able to get into Thirsk's World of James Herriot Centre for free on Sunday, June 16, as long as their children come along and pay for entry.
"Thinking for something to do for Father's Day is always a struggle," said centre manager Anne Keville.
"We hope this promotion will give people a new idea for a present and will be one place to get away from the World Cup.
"Every dad who comes along with their own children, whatever the age, will get in free."
