INFANT school teachers in County Durham swapped roles with their pupils to take part in a science and technology workshop.
The event, at the Jennings Ford dealership in Durham, was part of a national initiative organised by Ford's education liaison department.
Teachers from schools including Cotsford Junior School, Diamond Hall Infant School, Esh Winning Primary School and Newbottle Primary School made models out of scrap card, washing-up liquid bottles and lolly sticks, while picking up ideas to use in the classroom.
The event coincided with the launch of The Motoring Adventures of Kim and Pip pack, written for teachers of five to seven-year-olds.
It contains stories about two friends, Kim and Pip, who encourage pupils to take part in science and technology activities.
Sales manager Ross Hewitt said: "We were delighted with the turnout and the enthusiasm of the teachers, and we hope they will find the Motoring Adventures of Kim and Pip helpful in the classroom.
